Setting Sun faces west from Panorama Point near the top of Ski View Drive, above Ober Gatlinburg. On clear evenings, the deck and private hot tub look toward the Smoky Mountain ridgeline as the valley and city lights come on below. We bought Setting Sun after Rising Sun across the street because we wanted guests to be able to choose the sunrise or sunset side—or book both.

THE SPACE

Setting Sun sleeps up to 5. Downstairs is a king bedroom with a full en-suite bath and French doors that open directly onto the deck. Upstairs is a second king bedroom with a jetted tub at the mountain-facing window and a twin nook. The living area has a wood-burning fireplace available October through March. The kitchen is equipped for everyday meals, and the cabin has three TVs.

OUTDOOR LIVING

The private hot tub and outdoor seating face west from the deck. The cabin also has a gas grill with propane, an outdoor dining table, and rocking chairs. The shared community pool is seasonal; operating dates are set by the community.

Our family manages both cabins, so guests communicate directly with us. The final drive to Panorama Point is steep, narrow, and winding, and we want guests to know that before booking.

BOOKING BOTH CABINS?

Rising Sun is directly across the street and sleeps up to 7. Together, the cabins sleep up to 12 in separate spaces—useful for families or friends traveling together who want their own cabin.
