We've been coming to Gatlinburg since we were kids—family vacations, big groups, and sometimes just the four of us. When we finally had the chance to own a place here, we chose Panorama Point near the top of Ski View Drive, above Ober Gatlinburg. Rising Sun faces east across the mountains and valley. On clear mornings, sunrise reaches the ridgeline while fog settles below. It is still the moment that makes this cabin special to us.

THE SPACE

Rising Sun sleeps up to 7. Downstairs is a king bedroom with a full en-suite bath and direct deck access. Upstairs is a second king bedroom with a jetted tub in the en-suite, a twin nook, and a queen sleeper sofa. The living area has a wood-burning fireplace available October through March and an electric fireplace upstairs year-round. The kitchen is equipped for everyday meals, and the cabin has three TVs.

OUTDOOR LIVING

Rising Sun has two decks. The private hot tub sits on the covered lower deck. The cabin also has a gas grill with propane, an outdoor dining table, and rocking chairs. The shared community pool is seasonal; operating dates are set by the community.

Our family manages both cabins, so guests communicate directly with us. The last part of the drive is steep, narrow, and winding; we want guests to know that before booking.

BOOKING BOTH CABINS?

Setting Sun is directly across the street and sleeps up to 5. Together, the cabins sleep up to 12 in separate spaces—useful for families or friends traveling together who want their own cabin.
